August 21 - September 4, 2024	Basic Training: Tree Tenders 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm (Hybrid) Register Here
October 9, 2024	Training: Organizing a Community Tree Planting Q&A Session  5:30 pm - 7:00 pm (Virtual or In Person) Training: Tips for New and Established Tree Tender Leaders 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm (In Person ONLY) Register Here
October 10, 2024	Provide PHS with your planting event(s) details and volunteer recruitment request. Request Form
October 14, 2024	Schedule your tree pickup timeslot. Schedule Your Pickup
October 18, 2024	Invite planters to register. VolunteerHub event signup links will be emailed to volunteer managers.
October 30, 2024	Training: Bare Root Planting Crew Leader Workshop  5:30 pm - 7:30 pm (virtual) Register Here
3 - 10 business days before planting day	PA 1 Calls before digging, organize tools/supplies, final reminders to tree recipients/volunteers/leaders.
November 7, 2024	Office Hours with Tree Team Experts Drop in and ask us any last-minute questions! 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm (Virtual) Register Here
November 13 - 15, 2024	Tree Pickup
November 15 - 18, 2024	Tree Planting Double check trees are planted properly (root flare visible at soil grade, staked/tied - no strangling knots), mulched, and Tree Diapers hydrated and installed (if applicable) or tree adequately watered.
November 24, 2024	Philly Street tree applications for Spring 2025 are due. See Application Hub for instructions and forms.
December 9, 2024	Submit your planting attendance, signed paper waivers, and volunteer tracking to [email protected]. Visit our volunteer hub for more info. Share your most inspiring tree stories, photos, and videos with PHS! Email Morgan at [email protected].
December 13, 2024	TreeVitalize Municipalities (County): Submit your Treevitalize Data

Free mulch is available at the Fairmount Park Organic Recycling Center at 3850 W. Ford Rd. At the link above, each group has a mulch certificate to present at the Recycling Center.
