Lakeside School Greenhouse

The Lakeside Greenhouse is proud to have been part of this wonderful Philadelphia tradition since 2017 It means a great deal for our students to see their efforts affirmed and honored. Our Greenhouse offers both learning and therapeutic opportunities. Students working in Lakeside's Horticulture and Landscape Design Program gain both knowledge and skills while developing confidence and pride, while encouraging and empowering a better future for our students.

Lankenau Environmental Science Magnet High School

Lankenau Environmental Magnet High School provides an academically focused and student-centered approach to learning through agro-ecology, natural resource management, and environmental science. We create hands-on learning opportunities that enable students to actively engage in Philadelphia's robust and growing green infrastructure and industry.

Laurel-Brook Gardens

Laurel-Brook Gardens is a small design-build landscape company that focuses on creating inviting residential outdoor spaces. We do new landscape installations and also maintain private gardens in PA, DE, and NJ. Our reputation is built on our attention to detail and design uniqueness. Whether it's traditional or modern, formal or informal and naturalized, a large estate or a small city courtyard all of our projects receive equal attention and effort to bring forth engaging outdoor spaces that meet our client's wants and needs. During our design process we aspire to produce creative solutions that marry the landscape and architecture, the interior design, and the client's personal style to create a seamless cohesion and flow between interior and exterior spaces. Our collaborative approach keeps the client involved in every step of the design and installation process to ensure that the end result exceeds expectations. Our end goal at Laurel-Brook is to create a landscape that you are excited to come home to!

Mark Cook Landscape and Contracting, LLC

For over 25 years, Mark and Emily Cook have led Mark Cook Landscape & Contracting, earning a reputation for blending diverse horticultural elements with striking architectural artistry. Mark, both a landscape designer and artist, graduated with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture in 2000—the same year the company was founded. Together, Mark and Emily approach each project as a unique opportunity, customizing every design through their shared vision and commitment to redefining landscape possibilities. Their creativity and expertise have been recognized at the Philadelphia Flower Show, where their show gardens have received numerous honors over the past 17 years, including Best in Show in 2025, 2022, 2020, and 2017, and the Silver Trophy in 2024, 2023, 2021, 2019, 2018, and 2014. They were recognized on a global stage as major exhibitors at the Singapore Garden Festival, winning Best in Show and a Gold Medal in 2024, as well as a Gold Medal in 2018.

Mercer County Community College

Mercer County Community College offers an Associates in Science Degree in Plant Science; a Certificate of Proficiency in Horticulture; and an Associates in Applied Science in Horticulture with 4 concentration options - Ornamental Horticulture, Production Horticulture, Urban Agriculture, and Landscape Design. Required coursework includes soils, integrated pest management, and plant identification. Elective options include landscape design, plant propagation, arboriculture, urban and peri-urban forestry management, food production, landscape construction, urban planning and design, nursery management, and more.

Mid-Atlantic Carnivorous Plant Society

The Mid-Atlantic Carnivorous Plant Society (MACPS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating, studying, and sharing the wonder of carnivorous plants. We bring together hobbyists, growers, and nature enthusiasts from across the Mid-Atlantic region to exchange knowledge, explore unique habitats, and promote ethical cultivation practices. Each year, MACPS hosts the Mid-Atlantic Carnivorous Plant Show, a highlight event that showcases rare and beautiful plants, welcomes expert and beginner growers alike, and fosters community through awards, vendors, and educational programming. In addition to our annual show, MACPS holds quarterly meetings throughout PA, MD, VA, WV, DE, NJ, NY, and Washington, D.C. These gatherings feature talks, field trips, and hands-on workshops designed to deepen appreciation and understanding of these remarkable plants.

My West Indian heritage and Manhattan upbringing are foundational to my creative practice. These dual influences inspire my exploration of identity, community, and the intersections of culture. Through my work, I strive to challenge colonial image norms, weaving threads of unity and societal dynamics into my creations. My practice functions as both an inquiry and a statement, much like a scientist delving into uncharted territories. I aim to foster a more critical, holistic, and knowledge-based understanding of contemporary Black life, sparking dialogue and reflection on the complexities of our modern world.

Mural Arts - Matthew Raghunauth

Emotion enters as first and foremost in my work. In acrylic, ink, latex and airbrush, I render images of a romanticized life–one made better through temporal distance juxtaposed by emotional closeness. This romanticization can be understood as a nostalgia for my early life reproduced as mental snapshots taken in the present. While the memories I portray are precious, the decisions I make in my studio are not.

As a self-taught textile artist with over six years of experience, my work is driven by a deep connection to both tradition and innovation in fiber arts. Inspired by the hands-on craftsmanship I grew up observing— guided by my father’s teachings in woodshop—I’ve cultivated a unique approach to textiles that blends sculptural techniques with the tactile intimacy of thread and fiber.
