Ikebana International, Philadelphia Chapter #71

Ikebana International is a worldwide organization founded in Tokyo in 1956. Its members are dedicated to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and other countries through ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. I.I. is made up of many schools. Some stress classic styles, while others focus on more contemporary forms. Each school is different, and openly shares its inspirations, styles, philosophy, history and techniques. The Philadelphia chapter was founded in 1964. Our members are from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. Membership is open to anyone interested in the art of ikebana and the ideals of I.I. regardless of previous experience. International Florists - Alex Segura

Alex graduated in Floral Design from the Escola d'Art Floral de Catalunya, with more than 25 years of experience as a florist. He has taught courses, held demonstrations, and competed in competitions around the world including: Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, England, the Netherlands, Russia, Germany, Mexico, Costa Rica, Taiwan, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Australia.

International Florists - Chantal Post

Chantal Post is a Belgian floral artist based in Vielsalm, in the French part of Belgium. With over 20 years of experience, she refined her skills with a Master’s in Floral Design in the Netherlands before returning to Belgium to open her own boutique in 2003. Her artistic approach blends structure and poetry, creating sculptural floral compositions that are both expressive and emotive.
In 2020, she won the silver medal at the Belgian Floral Art Championship, followed by the gold medal in 2024, affirming her excellence in the field. She has been President of the Royal Union of Belgian Florists (BeFlorist) since 2018 and is an active member of the international network Floral Fundamentals.
Chantal has designed floral installations for weddings and major corporate events, establishing herself as a leading figure in Belgian floral art.
For many years, she has also shared her expertise through international demonstrations and by teaching both professional florists and private students, contributing to the transmission and evolution of floral art.
Her work has been widely published in professional magazines such as DPK and Fleurs Créatif.
Through her creations, Chantal Post invites viewers into a sensory experience where every flower tells a story, and every structure expresses an emotion.

International Florists - Franca Logan

Franca Logan (originally from the netherlands) owns her own floral design studio Florienne, in Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand.
She has been a florist for over 30 years and has lived and worked as a floral designer, teacher and demonstrator in Canada and United Kingdom and now lives and works in New Zealand
Franca's botanical works were published in International Floral Art 2008/9 and 2012/13. Franca's work has also been featured in several Floral Design Magazines including Fusion Flowers and DPK Magazine from the Netherlands
Throughout her career, she has won numerous awards in flower shows such as Canada Blooms, CAFA, Interflora NZ competitions, Ellerslie Flower Show, 2 Gold and 1 Silver at the New Zealand Flower and Garden Show, and Silver at Huis ten Bosch, Japan. Hobbies are gardening and art.

International Florists - Gabor Nagy

He is a Hungarian floral designer who also leads workshops and demonstrations in Hungary and around the world. Originally, he wanted to become a doctor and follow the family traditions because my parents worked in healthcare in the past as well before they opened our flower shop 19 years ago. In my secondary school years, I dealt with fine arts, and in what is now my career in floristry, I am able to combine those two things together. When I realized this, it was no longer a question for me to become a floral designer.
I learned a lot from my mom, she is a master florist. I spent many hours at our shop to help her and learn when I started the floristry. Next to this I read several floristry books and practiced a lot in our shop. My past in the field of fine arts always influenced my works, along with my childhood in the countryside. I really like to work with natural materials, also to combine all the elements of the world of fine arts with the materials of floristry.

Jacques Amand

Jacques Amand was started in 1927 on the Strand in London by an immigrant from the Netherlands, Jean Jacques Amand. His son John Amand built the company into an international supplier of high quality bulbs, many of them quite rare. John has also sponsored innovation in the industry and has brought some bulbs that were once too expensive for general purchase into a broader range of gardens. The Jacques Amand Nurseries are located in Clam hill, Stanmore, Middlesex, United Kingdom HA7 3JS.

Jennifer Designs

Jennifer Reed is an award-winning floral designer who believes flowers and all art should make you feel, draw you in, and most of all, be fun. For over 20 years, she has transformed events into immersive, joy-filled experiences through her New Jersey-based studio, Jennifer Designs. Inspired by both fine art and wild nature, Jennifer combines sculptural elements, bold colors, and thoughtful details to create floral designs that are anything but ordinary. Her work has graced the White House for the First Lady, the red carpet at the Grammy Awards, and earned her Best in Show at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Featured in The Knot, Florists' Review, and Green Wedding Shoes, Jennifer continues to push boundaries and reimagine what florals can be.

Kelly D. Norris, LLC

Kelly D. Norris is one of the leading ecological horticulturists of his generation. In his award-winning interdisciplinary studio, he explores the intersections of people, plants, and place through ecological, site-specific design and art. Kelly and his team bring life to residential, commercial, and public landscapes across North America. An award-winning author and plantsman, Kelly's work in gardens has been featured in The New York Times, Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart Living, Fine Gardening, Garden Design, and numerous television, radio, and digital media appearances. His latest book is Your Natural Garden from Cool Springs Press. They are also a part of the "American Landscape Showcase".
