From Blossoms

From Blossoms is the evolving creative project of Pennsylvania-based artist, Kat Claar, focused on the ephemeral beauty and mystery of flowers explored through art. Her work includes floral design, botanical sculptural works of flowers and painted paper, installation work and a cut flower farm. Her installations have been featured in the Philadelphia Flower Show since 2017, the Philadelphia International Airport, and the Philadelphia Central Library. In addition to her botanical works, she's dabbled in mural art, stop-motion-video making, and puppetry. Throughout her work, she finds inspiration from the natural world and the desire to create new visual contexts that shift our perspective to see the world in new ways.

Ikebana International, Philadelphia Chapter #71

Ikebana International is a worldwide organization founded in Tokyo in 1956. Its members are dedicated to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and other countries through ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. I.I. is made up of many schools. Some stress classic styles, while others focus on more contemporary forms. Each school is different, and openly shares its inspirations, styles, philosophy, history and techniques. The Philadelphia chapter was founded in 1964. Our members are from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. Membership is open to anyone interested in the art of ikebana and the ideals of I.I. regardless of previous experience. Jacques Amand

For over 25 years, Mark and Emily Cook have led Mark Cook Landscape & Contracting, earning a reputation for blending diverse horticultural elements with striking architectural artistry. Mark, both a landscape designer and artist, graduated with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture in 2000-the same year the company was founded. Together, Mark and Emily approach each project as a unique opportunity, customizing every design through their shared vision and commitment to redefining landscape possibilities. Their creativity and expertise have been recognized at the Philadelphia Flower Show, where their show gardens have received numerous honors over the past 17 years, including Best in Show in 2025, 2022, 2020, and 2017, and the Silver Trophy in 2024, 2023, 2021, 2019, 2018, and 2014. They were recognized on a global stage as major exhibitors at the Singapore Garden Festival, winning Best in Show and a Gold Medal in 2024, as well as a Gold Medal in 2018.

Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators

Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators is a nonprofit organization of botanical artists who are dedicated to promoting public education and appreciation of the art, science, and history of botanical art. PSBI hosts workshops in botany, drawing, and watercolor painting. Each year PSBI offers public exhibits of world-class botanical art in galleries and venues in the Philadelphia area. Our annual showcase at the PHS Flower Show has been our hallmark exhibition for over 25 years.

PlantPop is a horticultural film studio that tells interesting stories about plants and how they improve people's lives. We are artists. We are pursuing beauty and understanding. We believe that philosophy was born in the garden, that culture starts with cultivation and that growing is the highest art.
