Chadwick & Son Orchids, Inc.

Chadwick & Son Orchids Inc was founded in 1989 by long time orchid hobbyist A. A. Chadwick and his son, Arthur. After purchasing 18 acres of farmland in rural Powhatan Virginia, they proceeded to build the company's first redwood greenhouse. Before long, there were 13 greenhouses, two retail stores in Richmond and many devoted employees. The early success of the company can be attributed to Art Sr who had been growing orchids since 1943 and provided invaluable cultural and hybridizing experience. The Chadwick's co-wrote two orchid books, "The Classic Cattleyas", now in its second edition, and "First Ladies and their Orchids: A Century of Namesake Cattleyas" which was released in 2024.

David A. Rubin’s Antique Garden Tool Collection

Davis Rubin Land Collective is a landscape architecture, urban design, and planning studio committed to practicing with an emphasis on socially-purposeful design strategies. The studio is dedicated to crafting landscapes that create positive change through cross-disciplinary collaborations and the synthesis of art, technology and the social sciences to create human-centered works. It is an appreciation for empathy that drives the studio’s design process. We will be featuring David’s renowned antique tool collection for our guests to enjoy!

Ikebana International, Philadelphia Chapter #71

Ikebana International is a worldwide organization founded in Tokyo in 1956. Its members are dedicated to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and other countries through ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. I.I. is made up of many schools. Some stress classic styles, while others focus on more contemporary forms. Each school is different, and openly shares its inspirations, styles, philosophy, history and techniques. The Philadelphia chapter was founded in 1964. Our members are from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. Membership is open to anyone interested in the art of ikebana and the ideals of I.I. regardless of previous experience. Jacques Amand

Jacques Amand was started in 1927 on the Strand in London by an immigrant from the Netherlands, Jean Jacques Amand. His son John Amand built the company into an international supplier of high quality bulbs, many of them quite rare. John has also sponsored innovation in the industry and has brought some bulbs that were once too expensive for general purchase into a broader range of gardens. The Jacques Amand Nurseries are located in Clam hill, Stanmore, Middlesex, United Kingdom HA7 3JS.

My West Indian heritage and Manhattan upbringing are foundational to my creative practice. These dual influences inspire my exploration of identity, community, and the intersections of culture. Through my work, I strive to challenge colonial image norms, weaving threads of unity and societal dynamics into my creations. My practice functions as both an inquiry and a statement, much like a scientist delving into uncharted territories. I aim to foster a more critical, holistic, and knowledge-based understanding of contemporary Black life, sparking dialogue and reflection on the complexities of our modern world.

Mural Arts - Matthew Raghunauth

Emotion enters as first and foremost in my work. In acrylic, ink, latex and airbrush, I render images of a romanticized life–one made better through temporal distance juxtaposed by emotional closeness. This romanticization can be understood as a nostalgia for my early life reproduced as mental snapshots taken in the present. While the memories I portray are precious, the decisions I make in my studio are not.

As a self-taught textile artist with over six years of experience, my work is driven by a deep connection to both tradition and innovation in fiber arts. Inspired by the hands-on craftsmanship I grew up observing— guided by my father’s teachings in woodshop—I’ve cultivated a unique approach to textiles that blends sculptural techniques with the tactile intimacy of thread and fiber.

Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators

Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators is a nonprofit organization of botanical artists who are dedicated to promoting public education and appreciation of the art, science, and history of botanical art. PSBI hosts workshops in botany, drawing, and watercolor painting. Each year PSBI offers public exhibits of world-class botanical art in galleries and venues in the Philadelphia area. Our annual showcase at the PHS Flower Show has been our hallmark exhibition for over 25 years.
