The 2026 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center February 28 – March 8, 2026. Experience Rooted: Origins of American Gardening, a celebration of the people, plants, and stories that have shaped gardening in the United States.
Whether you’re coming for jaw-dropping gardens, hands-on workshops, expert advice, or family-friendly fun, these are the top experiences you won’t want to miss at the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show.
New for 2026, the Flower Show introduces a reimagined layout and wayfinding experience, designed to help guests explore with intention and curiosity. Exhibits and activities are organized into five core experiences:

A standout blend of horticulture and American history, this exhibit by Chadwick and Son Orchids features nineteen consecutive U.S. First Ladies who have had orchids named in their honor, beginning with Mrs. Woodrow Wilson. The display highlights how orchids have long been used to commemorate influential women throughout history.
Discover fresh perspectives in floral design through four side-by-side installations created by emerging florists. Bold colors, distinctive styles, and deeply personal storytelling reveal how culture and memory influence contemporary floral artistry.

This curated display showcases the 2026 PHS Gold Medal Plant winners, including trees, shrubs, and perennials selected for their beauty, reliability, wildlife value, and success in Mid-Atlantic gardens. See how these award-winning plants thrive in real garden settings and gather inspiration for your own landscape.
The Flower Show’s beloved Competitive Classes return with creativity at every scale. Highlights include:
Botanical Arts, featuring plant-inspired couture, jewelry, and accessories that travel through iconic style eras, from Gilded Age elegance to disco glamour
Presented by W.B. Saul High School of Agricultural Sciences, this powerful exhibit honors the Lenni Lenape people and Pennsylvania’s Indigenous history. A forested hillside, flowing stream, and recreated Lenni Lenape site highlight the deep connection between native plants, land stewardship, and cultural heritage.
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, four world-renowned designers interpret the roots and resilience of American gardening. These immersive gardens explore how landscapes shape communities and cultural identity. Made possible by the Philadelphia Funder Collaborative for the Semiquincentennial.
Created by the Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators, this exhibit uses detailed botanical illustration to explore the beauty and endurance of America’s native plants and fungi over the past 250 years. This exhibit reveals both the visible and hidden ecosystems that sustain life.
The Flower Show Marketplace moves to a new street-level location directly beneath the main exhibition halls, making it easier than ever to browse and shop. Discover live plants, florals, garden tools, décor, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind gifts from a wide variety of vendors.
Back by popular demand, and expanded for 2026, Artisan Row invites guests to craft floral and garden-inspired keepsakes alongside seven local artisans. New hands-on experiences include:

New this year, Potting Parties offer hands-on floral arranging workshops led by Tu Bloom, Official Botanical Artist of the Grammy® Awards. Learn the fundamentals of floral design using seasonal botanicals and take home your own creation. Perfect for beginners and experienced flower lovers alike.

The popular Know to Grow series returns with daily talks from horticultural experts, growers, and garden leaders. Topics range from native plants and pollinator-friendly landscapes to orchids, vegetables, ecological design, and the historical influences behind American gardening.
Select sessions feature nationally recognized experts, including Jenny Rose Carey on mastering bulbs and Resh Gala on intensive planting techniques for small-space gardens.
Educational sessions run daily and are free with admission.
A full day of hands-on fun for kids and families, Family Frolic features playful programming with local Philadelphia partners. Children can explore the Kids Cocoon, complete with seed planting, story times, and a large LEGO table.

Unwind during this wellness-focused evening featuring a botanical bazaar with local vendors and yoga led by Noel Davis of Paris Fit. A peaceful way to experience the Flower Show.

Dogs take center stage during Fido Friday, when leashed pups are welcome to explore the Flower Show alongside their humans.
March 6 | 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Proof of valid dog license and rabies vaccination required. Free with admission.
When night falls, the Flower Show transforms into a magical, after-dark experience at Flowers After Hours. Dance beneath a floral canopy, sip themed cocktails, and explore a fantastical woodland setting. Fantasy-inspired attire encouraged.

Now in its 197th year, the Philadelphia Flower Show remains the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event. As PHS’s main fundraiser, the Show supports year-round efforts to create healthier, greener communities across Greater Philadelphia.
