Relive the 2024 season at the PHS Pop Up Garden at South Street
PHS celebrated 10 years of the PHS Pop Up Garden on South Street with an incredible party in September. Over 2,000 people joined us to celebrate in the garden with live music from local artists, floral installation by Pure Designs and a PHS birthday cake from New June Baking.
We started off the season with a proposal, hosted countless birthdays, graduation and retirement parties, dachshund meet up groups, served tens of thousands of frozen cocktails and finished with a wedding that included Ben Franklin. Through it all, we've remained a welcoming place for people to gather, make lasting memories, learn about gardening, and have fun in a beautiful, green setting.
This year, our plant swaps blossomed with over 400 eager participants who exchanged plants and build community. Our horticultural programs cultivated a community of 125 passionate plant lovers, and nearly 80,000 visitors immersed themselves in the beauty of the garden. We also continued our recycling partnership with Bottle Underground, diverting our glass from the landfill this year and turned a few of the bottles into new lighting fixtures for a section of the garden.
We loved every moment we shared with you and can’t wait to see you in the spring of 2025!
