“The Show makes you want to go home and garden.”
- Kim C. of Haverford
As the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event, the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is a stunning and educational look at the world of floral design and gardening. Annually, the event features breathtaking displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers.
Started in 1829 by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Flower Show introduces the newest plant varieties, garden, and design concepts. To this day, PHS builds upon the grandeur of these designs with the requirements of organic and sustainable gardening practices. In addition to the displays, the Show hosts competitions in horticulture and artistic floral arranging, featuring world-renowned designers for hundreds of thousands of amateur home or community gardeners to enjoy. Attendees can participate in special events throughout the show and experience an extensive indoor Marketplace to fulfill all their gardening needs.
The Philadelphia Flower Show has been honored as the best overall event in the world by the International Festivals & Events Association, competing with events such as the Kentucky Derby Festival, Tournament of Roses Parade, Indianapolis 500 Festival, and other international celebrations.
