As the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event, the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is a stunning and educational look at the world of floral design and gardening. Annually, the event features breathtaking displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers.
The region’s most looked-to gardening attraction moved outdoors for the first time, making this a history-making, once-in-a-lifetime experience that will incorporate the beautiful, unique landscape of FDR Park in Philadelphia. The 2021 Flower Show invited guests to a spectacular presentation of all-new displays, plus activities for gardeners, plant enthusiasts, and design aficionados.
The Show’s theme, “HABITAT: Nature’s Masterpiece,” explored the beauty of life through nature’s kaleidoscopic lens. Visitors explored exceptional beauty, learned from a diverse line-up of designers and leading horticulturalists, and entered a new gardener-centric experience that invites everyone at all skill levels to nurture a lifelong connection to plants and gardening.
The Philadelphia Flower Show, started in 1829 by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, introduces the gardening public to thousands of plants, gardens, and design concepts. PHS is firmly committed to building upon the grandeur of these designs to explore the use of organic and sustainable gardening practices. Acres of plants and gardens also make up the largest horticultural competition in the world, all vying for blue ribbons and the coveted “Best in Show.” Show attendees at all levels of gardening (even non-gardeners!) are invited to participate in curated daily gardening activities and enjoy themed food and shopping experiences.
The Philadelphia Flower Show has been honored as the best overall event in the world by the International Festivals & Events Association, competing with events such as the Kentucky Derby Festival, Tournament of Roses Parade, Indianapolis 500 Festival, and other international celebrations.
