Seth Pearsoll’s role as Creative Director and Vice President for the Philadelphia Flower Show allows him to contribute to a variety of design tasks and creative projects. He focuses on finding and creating relationships with exciting new designers and creators for the Flower Show. Part of what makes the Flower Show exciting is the group of amazing garden, floral, and landscape designers who participate, and Seth leads the team in charge of showcasing their collective efforts.
Seth received his B.A. in English at the University of Nebraska, and he did master’s coursework at the University of Iowa in the field of Hispanic Linguistics. While there, he also taught Portuguese. It was during this program where he found that his real passion was landscape architecture, so Seth dropped out of the Linguistics program at Iowa to begin a master’s degree program in Sustainable Planning and Design from the Conway Design School located on the edge of the Berkshires in Massachusetts. During his time at Conway, he worked on regional and Master Plans both in New England as well as South America.
After completing his master’s, Seth began working in Philadelphia at a number of landscape design firms, eventually finding his way to PHS.
Seth enjoys reading, podcasts, taking walks, photography, and 3D modeling. He’s also a sucker for a game of random plant identification while out and about.
