Leigh Ann Campbell

Director of Urban Design

Leigh Ann Campbell is the Urban Design Director at PHS and a licensed landscape architect with almost two decades of experience on projects ranging in scale, scope, and complexity. At PHS, she manages all phases of the urban design process from concept design through construction observation for new gardens, park restoration, stormwater infrastructure, and temporary landscapes. She also leads, builds, and manages partner relationships with city agencies, non-profits, and community groups in order to accomplish this work. Her project experience includes urban plazas, corporate campuses, resort communities, waterfronts, urban parks, Pop Up Gardens and rooftop terraces. Leigh Ann received her M.L.A. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver, her B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Adams State University, and an A.S. in Biology from Young Harris College. In 2004, Leigh Ann moved to Philadelphia to join OLIN (formerly Olin Partnership), and spent her first 10 years of professional practice at the internationally-acclaimed firm. Leigh Ann’s leadership and organizational skills presented opportunities for her to serve as project manager on large complex projects such as Apple Campus II and re-envisioning the Alexandria Waterfront. In 2014, Leigh Ann was excited to join PHS, which would allow her to bring durable high-quality designs to parks throughout Philadelphia. Leigh Ann grew up in southeast Georgia among the majestic live oak trees and barrier islands, and has connected with nature throughout her life. She lived on a bison ranch and inside the Great Sand Dunes National Park during her time in southern Colorado. She is a mom of two boys and makes sure to provide them with a lot of exposure to both nature and art, and always brings them along to community clean-ups and tree plantings.
