John Rapini

John is the Greenhouse Manager at PHS Meadowbrook Farm. He joined PHS in 2018 and has worked to streamline operations at the growing center, enhancing its role as a valuable resource in connecting people with horticulture. He and his team in the growing center provide plant material for all PHS public horticulture sites, The Philadelphia Flower Show, and other PHS projects.
 
John’s 15 years as a horticulture professional have been spent in the wholesale production of annuals, tropical plants, and perennials, as well as retail management and plant procurement. His experience includes managing perennial production and merchandising at East Coast Garden Center in Southern Delaware, as well as working on the sales and plant buying teams at Terrain in the Philadelphia area.  

John learned to love horticulture as a child growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs. When he is not growing, buying, or selling plants, John enjoys spending time traveling and enjoying plants in nature with his family.
