David Chrystal

Dave Chrystal is the Chief Development Officer at PHS, where he leads PHS’s strategy and implementation of the organization’s comprehensive fundraising effort to create, diversify, and increase revenue in the areas of Membership, Annual Funds, Major Gifts, Foundation Grants, and Corporate Giving – in addition to oversight of Development Services and fundraising events, such as The Flower Show Preview Party. As part of PHS’s Executive Team, Dave supports key PHS stakeholders including the Board of Directors, the Development Committee, fellow executive leadership team members, staff, and community partners to achieve strategic and program initiative goals.

Dave holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Bucknell University in Economics and Environmental Studies, along with an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at NYU. He is a seasoned development professional, having previously spent over a decade as a senior member of the development team at the Rainforest Alliance, an international conservation organization based in New York City. Immediately before joining PHS, Dave oversaw business development for a healthcare philanthropy consulting firm.

Dave grew up in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. During his free time, Dave enjoys traveling and taking orders from his two children.
