Daniel Preziosi is a seasoned park and horticulture professional with over 15 years of experience in grounds management, green infrastructure, and team leadership. He joined the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society as the Director of Trees in August 2024, bringing with him extensive experience from his role as Director of Grounds at New Orleans City Park Conservancy. There, he led operations across horticulture, sanitation, sports fields, fleet management, and volunteer coordination. Daniel was instrumental in restructuring department operations for efficiency, developing equipment safety policies, and managing budgets to support park upkeep.
In previous roles at New Orleans City Park—from Horticulture Supervisor to Assistant Director of Horticulture—Daniel honed his skills in staff training, landscape maintenance, and event support. His background includes a Bachelor of Science in Plant and Soil Sciences from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, as well as specialized training in Urban Park Leadership from CUNY and the Central Park Conservancy Institute.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Daniel is thrilled to be closer to home, allowing for more frequent family visits. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, woodworking, beach outings, and exploring the Wissahickon with his partner and son.
