Cristina Tessaro has 20 years of experience in restaurant management and the hospitality industry with some of Philadelphia’s most popular and recognized bars and restaurants. Having operated the 2015 PHS Pop Up Garden at 9th and Wharton Streets, Cristina joined PHS in 2017 with the unique understanding of partner needs, positioning PHS to better advance profitability, visibility, and community engagement on all PHS Pop Up Garden sites. Her background in the restaurant industry has brought a diverse selection of new programming partners to thousands of Pop Up Garden attendees. She brings creative activation opportunities to various urban sites based on the community and needs of the neighborhood.
Cristina holds a B.A. in Art and Art History from Goucher College. She also has various wine, beer and spirits certifications from WSET, Cicerone, Micro Matic, and more.
While Cristina is a Pittsburgh native, Philly has been home for more than 15 years. She an avid 76ers fan who also likes to promote local businesses and PA food and drink producers.
