Transforming Vacant Land

landcare with people

PHS chooses new sites by working with community members. Philadelphia LandCare has worked with local organizations, the Division of Housing and Community Development in Philadelphia, and other city agencies.

Interested in bringing LandCare to your neighborhood? Reach out to PHS with these steps below.

How to Recommend a Site for PHS Philadelphia Landcare:

Step One

Work with others in your community to identify a few vacant lots on or near your block by noting the addresses and possibly even taking a photo.

Step Two

Let us know about the lot(s) to be cleaned and greened at [email protected] or by giving us a call at 215.988.8800.

Step Three

Then we will work with you to contact your local district City Council representative and request PHS to work on those lots.

PHS Philadelphia LandCare contractors treat newly selected lots in the Spring and Fall, while maintaining existing lots in our inventory from April – October (14 cuts/year).

If there is a persistent problem with a vacant lot in your community, please report the lot via Philly 311 and also contact your local district City Council representative.
