Explore the Impact of the PHS Pop Up Garden at Manayunk in 2024
The community garden has donated 275lbs of produce to North Light Community Center. This includes but isn’t limited to: scallions, yellow and red onions, sweet and Thai basil, tomatoes, kale, collard greens, sweet and spicy peppers, eggplant and lettuce. All organic seedlings from the City Harvest program.
We installed new bog rain garden planters to continue to help mitigate stormwater runoff and have continued to add to our expansive native plantings throughout the garden for all season interest.
We hosted 400 people for plant swaps this season plus another 180 for horticultural programming and 45,000 people joined us in the garden this season.
This year, our staff created new merchandise featuring a selection of plants and wildlife found in the garden. If you're interested in purchasing contact us today!
