Spring is synonymous in our region with beautiful blooming bulbs — tulips, lilies, hyacinths and more! We are joining Jenny Rose Carey, PHS Senior Fellow in Horticulture, to study a spring bulb patch located near a deciduous tree, which allows plenty of sunshine until growing out later in the season.
All bulbs will mandate a good amount of sun and well-draining soil topped off with compost. With these proper conditions, the plant can produce sufficient energy for next year’s bulbs and return year after year.
Visit gardens across the region that PHS maintains.
