Unwanted pests might be the top complaint of all gardeners. Identifying ways to control pests is one of the keys to maintaining a healthy and bountiful garden. Adam Hill, PHS Senior Manager of Community Garden Operations (with special guest appearance from his son!), talks to us about ways to control pests in your garden. Pest control, Adam says, is mostly about prevention.

Watch below as Adam and friends walk through his tips for pest control:

  1. Put the right plant in the right place
  2. Use quality, healthy soil
  3. Ensure your plants have plenty of air circulation
  4. Diversify the plants throughout your garden
  5. Use physical barriers
