By Marion McParland

Winter is the perfect time to create your own container garden. Nicole Juday Rhoads, PHS Director of Audience Engagement, shows us how to make your own seasonal design with materials gathered from her yard and garden.

View this video to see how she creates a stunning container design with cut branches, dried seed heads, grasses, and evergreens. A Bear's Foot Hellebore dug from her garden is the perfect addition, along with Western juniper and incense cedar for color and texture.

By skipping the store, you'll save money and create your own unique design. This is also a great activity to do with children on a not-too-chilly day.
