Learn about tree care and planting by participating in a PHS Tree Tenders training this summer. This eight-hour course offers topics including tree biology, identification, planting, and proper care. You will be joining one of the nation’s oldest, most respected volunteer urban tree-care programs. This is a 3-part workshop series taking place in person and through live zoom sessions.*
Tree Tenders are given the tools to plant and nurture trees in their own neighborhoods. Regionally, there are over 6,400 Tree Tenders from over 100 neighborhoods! Join a group or form your own Tree Tenders group, by attending the training with two neighbors.
The training is sliding scale with a recommended cost of $40. This course will be offered live at the PHS Town Hall or via Zoom on August 21, August 28, and September 4 from 6 - 8:30 pm.
The optional in-person workshop will be held on Saturday, September 14 from 10 am - 1 pm. *Recordings will be offered if you cannot attend the live zoom class time.
