Everyone’s heard the old cliché, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” And when fermented into apple cider vinegar and infused with horseradish, ginger, garlic, onions, and other pungent foods and spices, the resulting tonic—called Fire Cider—has health benefits of its own.
Fire Cider is a timeless home remedy used to support the immune system and help ward off seasonal illness. Join herbalist Lynn Roberts for a hands-on workshop at the PHS Community Farm where you will chop, grate, and blend potent ingredients to craft your own jar of Fire Cider to take home. Along the way, we’ll discuss the history, folklore, and medicinal properties of each ingredient, empowering you to make and adapt this traditional tonic for your own wellness needs.
Space is limited, pre-registration is required.
