Interested in creating a Kokedama for competition at the Hamilton Horticourt? Houseplant enthusiast Justin Dampman will lead an engaging hands-on workshop where you will learn the technique and make your own Kokedama. New and prospective exhibitors are encouraged to attend.

Kokedama is a centuries-old Japanese form of garden art closely tied to the practice of bonsai. It involves using a moss ball as the support and focal point for a tree, shrub, or plant. The plant’s roots are wrapped in a ball of soil which is then covered with moss.
