Unveiling the Wonders of Gardening: The Know to Grow Webinar Series

PHS is delighted to present the Know to Grow Webinar Series, a vibrant and inclusive program designed to nurture your love for gardening. This reimagined lecture series welcomes everyone, from seasoned gardeners to those with a budding curiosity about the plant world.

Join us as Claudia West, a leading voice in the field of ecological planting design, paints a spectacular picture of the new pollinator garden at the Arboretum at Penn State. Described as a marriage of brilliant space making, expert science, innovative planting, and skillful installation methods; designers created a truly biodiverse garden that makes tiny pollinators visible and opens visitor’s eyes to the fascinating relationships between people, plants, pollinators, and birds. Claudia will provide a window into the garden’s making and distill the methods used into practical tools for your garden or next project.

Why Attend?

  • Learn from Claudia West, a leading voice in ecological planting design and co-author of Planting in a Post-Wild World. Claudia’s work has shaped innovative planting methods, and she is known for her passionate advocacy of plant-driven design. Prior to co-founding Phyto Studio, Claudia was ecological sales manager at North Creek Nurseries, a wholesale perennial grower in Landenberg, PA.
  • Learn how biodiversity helps pollinator gardens thrive!
  • Discover practical tools and techniques for creating your own biodiverse and appealing pollinator gardens, inspired by Claudia’s expert methods and design principles.
