9 28 9 29 heirloom seeds

Rooted in legacy and preservation, the practice of growing and saving heirloom seeds carries stories, memories, and joy from one season to the next. In this hands-on class, led by Nathan Hasler-Brooks, farmer and founder of Tine and Toil Farm, participants will learn what makes seeds “heirloom,” how to select healthy plants, and simple techniques for harvesting, cleaning, storing, and sharing seeds.

Nathan will share with you some of his favorite heirloom seeds and encourage you to do the same, bring some seeds and share in the story of feeding one another. Perfect for gardeners of all experience levels who want to grow resilient plants and keep traditional varieties alive season after season.

PHS members receive a $5 discount for this workshop.

All supplies needed are included in the ticket price.

Please note: this garden serves alcohol, so a valid, physical state issued ID is required to enter. Anyone under 21 is welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
