Learn about gardening, greening and the environment, and how to incorporate them into classroom or after-school activities!
Participants will help build an outdoor school garden. There will be plenty of hands-on activities, so come prepared to get dirty! Come to 1,2, or all 3 days!
This three-session and 12-hour course will cover:
- Designing and maintaining a year-round school garden
- Building and planting raised beds and vertical planters
- Teaching kids through planing trees
- Planting pollinator and water retention gardens
- Finding the best ways to get the kids outside to enjoy nature
