Garden Party Concert at PHS Meadowbrook Farm

Immerse yourself in an afternoon filled with enchanting music set against the stunning backdrop of horticultural beauty as we host our Garden Party free concert series for the first time at PHS Meadowbrook Farm on Saturday October 5 at 3 pm.

Sponsored by the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, this two-hour concert will feature performances by Hao Yang and guest artist John Williams. A classical guitarist, Yang is known for her brilliant performances that are “full of color and character changes accompanied by an assured technique.” 

Now in its 32nd year,  Astral Artists is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit intensive mentoring program that specializes in developing the early careers of extraordinary classical musicians across the country. The organization concentrates its resources on a small number of rising-star soloists and chamber ensembles who have the potential to be change-makers and influencers in the music industry.

The Garden Party Concert is free to the public but may be limited due to available seating area. Some bench seating will be available, and you are welcome to bring your own blanket or chairs. Complimentary snack bags will be available from our friends at Curds & Whey.

Rain date for this event is Thursday, October 10 from 5 – 7 pm.

Parking Information

Parking will be available at Penn State Abington Lot H, 1600 Woodland Road, Abington, PA 19001. Complimentary shuttle service to PHS Meadowbrook Farm will be provided. For ADA parking please contact Cristina Tessaro at [email protected]. The shuttle service will run from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm (one hour before and after the concert).
