Understanding Your Garden’s Growing Conditions with Glenn Ashton

Having a deeper understanding of the growing conditions in your garden is the key to making it thrive! PHS Horticulturist, Glenn Ashton will discuss soil types (humus-rich, gravel, clay, loam) location and topography), light conditions (full sun, part shade, dappled shade, full shade), soil moisture levels, and how each impacts the plants that are optimal for the space. Guests will be guided through 6 distinctively different locations throughout Meadowbrook Farm and Glenn will review the specific needs of each one. Participants will receive a plant list and plants individually suited for their garden’s needs.
