Zoe Ganslaw (they/them) comes to PHS after working for the last couple of years at two larger CSA farms in the Philadelphia area. They are looking forward to working at Farm Park, focusing on engaging and empowering local communities while honestly and directly addressing the major issues of food insecurity and food sovereignty. Coming from a background in the arts, specifically painting, sculpture, and art education, Zoe would love to find more ways in which we can use our unique voices in arts and farming to help build healthy and creatively diverse communities.
Zoe's farming career sprouted from the solace they found during the lockdowns of the pandemic: growing native flowers, herbs, and food at their West Philadelphia home. They saw the immense value of sharing what they grew with their neighbors and friends and decided to make a career shift there and then.
Outside of work, Zoe spends time learning about Jewish mysticism and herbalism, hiking up and down the East Coast, cooking, painting, and spending time with their loved ones and two cats.
