Laura Butera is the Director of Planning and Design for the Philadelphia Flower Show, the largest indoor flower show in the world. She leads the design team from concept through execution, turning the Show's creative vision into an experience guests can walk through every spring.
Laura has always been drawn to work at the intersection of design, people, and place — and how the three shape one another. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University, and has a multidisciplinary background that spans architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design. Her previous experience includes leading design and planning for adaptive reuse and urban design projects of varying scale.
A native of the Philadelphia area, Laura grew up attending and competing in the Flower Show, never imagining she'd one day help design it! Outside of work, she can be found hiking, paddleboarding, or people-watching from a park bench in one of Philadelphia's great parks.
