Emma is the Propagation Manager for the City Harvest Program at PHS. Emma is originally from New Jersey but has called Philadelphia home since 2015. She has an extensive vegetable production background and also likes to extend her love of food & farming like sun-rays, and always lend a little light to seed saving, cooking (both professionally & at home), as well as gradually working on creative projects centered on food. Her agricultural career has always tried to emphasize addressing food insecurity. In her last role as a Farm Manager, Emma helped to develop and manage the production for a-- no cost to the recipient-- produce distribution program. This programming produced a $150,000 value of fresh produce to food insecure people over two years. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Food Systems. Emma is most looking forward to acting as a resource to the community of gardeners in Philadelphia and assisting people with gardening as they see fit for their wants and needs. Catch her in the city riding her bike or walking her dog, Peanut, and say hi!
