Tamela Vieira is the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of PHS, overseeing a large cross-functional team that includes: Finance, IT, Legal, HR Operations, and Administration. A member of the executive leadership team, Tamela has fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, assessing performance against both the annual budget and PHS’s long-term strategy and, where needed, making/implementing recommendations on both strategy and operations. Tamela works closely with the Board’s audit, finance, and investment committees, providing them with financial and operational updates and collaborating with them on strategic decisions affecting PHS’s long-term success. Tamela received her B.A. in Sociology and Comparative Area Studies from Duke University, and her M.S. in Accounting and M.B.A. in Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She has more than 25 years of experience in forensic accounting, finance, and operations, including more than 15 years of leadership responsibilities at Wharton Executive Education and global banking and consulting organizations. When not on a baseball field or basketball court (watching, not playing) Tamela can be found hiking in the Wissahickon or digging in the dirt.
