Temple University Department of Landscape, Architecture, & Horticulture
Winner of the 2024 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, Special Achievement Award of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania – Conservation, for unusual excellence, Landscape. This exhibit was designed and built by college students under the guidance of two seasoned Landscape Architects. Horticulture students and staff prepare all the plants included in the exhibit. Temple University offers a unique hands-on experience that allows students to create, build, and showcase their talents for visitors to the Philadelphia Flower Show. The Ambler campus program has been participating in the Flower Show for 90 years – beginning in 1932 as the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women and then under Temple University since 1956.
