This year’s PHS Harvest – the 2nd year for this initiative – again had outstanding results! With close to 20,000 pounds of produce donated, more than 3,000 participants involved (growers and donors), and more than $10,000 raised for education and training, those facing food insecurity in the Greater Philadelphia region had access to fresh, healthy food this entire growing season.
The efforts of gardeners, partners, and suppliers helped many families gain access to fruits and vegetables, as well as learn how to grow crops on their own for the future. PHS wishes to thank all those involved! See below for a dashboard that highlights the results from our collective action.
