Nicole Juday Rhoads joined PHS in 2016 as the Director of Engagement. As part of the Development team, she supports fundraising efforts and cultivates relationships with high-level supporters through PHS’s 1827 Society. Nicole received her B.A. in Art from Hampshire College. She has had an exceptional career encompassing many areas of horticulture, including owning her own garden design business, serving as Landscape Curator at Wyck Historic Garden, and running the renowned Arboretum School at the Barnes Foundation prior to coming to PHS, where she oversees the major gift and grant programs, as well as helps develop special projects. A Chanticleer Scholarship allowed Nicole to pursue an interest in garden writing, and she has gone on to publish numerous articles and to speak regularly on various gardening topics. When not spending time in her garden with friends and family, she enjoys volunteering on the board of Awbury Arboretum and on the Landscape Committee of Wyck.
