Molly K. Morrison

Board Member

Molly Morrison, who retired as President of Natural Lands Trust in 2018, has been on the frontlines of protecting and conserving the region’s open space, natural areas and farmland for over 30 years. Prior to joining Natural Lands in 2000, Molly worked for the Chester County Board of Commissioners where she was responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the county’s nationally recognized open space program.

She has received numerous awards and accolades for her work, including being named a “Women of Distinction” by the Philadelphia Business Journal (2012), receiving the CRC Watersheds Award (2013), receiving the Rebecca Lukens Award by the National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum (2013), and receiving the Winsor Award from the Pennsylvania Environmental Council (2019). Molly is a past Chair of the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association, serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Zoo and the Uptown Theater in West Chester, and is a member of the Chester County Planning Commission. She is a former member of the Thornbury Township Historic Commission, the Chester County Art Association, and the Brandywine Valley Association, among other organizations. She is a graduate of Ursinus College (B.A. English) and Syracuse University (M.S. Communications). Molly joined the PHS Board in January 2019 and serves as the Chair of the Strategic Oversight Committee.
