City Harvest Program Application

PHS’ City Harvest Program is a project sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society whose purpose is to increase the supply of nutritious, locally grown produce in Philadelphia by providing material and educational support to producers for organic production through three or more growing seasons.

Specifically, the program will provide seed, soil, seedlings, supplies and technical assistance through Green Resource Centers to participating urban farmers and gardeners. City Harvest (CH) participants will receive instructional workshops on organic pest prevention and control, pre- and post-harvest handling, season extension and soil building.
