Forget the beaches and beyond for a few hours to visit a quiet natural country garden in Lancaster to see a splendid woodland oasis transformed from a 16-acre open corn field. Over the years the owners have planted thousands of trees and created multiple gardens … with a twist. The husband, who manages the woodland and his collection of conifers, is careful to consider the needs of the birds and critters living in the woodland; a felled tree remains for birds, insects and shelter for animals. His wife creates and maintains gardens with plants to attract birds, bees, monarch butterflies and other pollinators. This visit is timed for monarch season.
