lotusland

From 1941-1984, Polish opera singer and obsessive plant collector Ganna Walska created over a dozen shockingly unique gardens featuring her incredible specimens on the 37-acre property in Santa Barbara she appropriately dubbed "Lotusland," today considered as one of the ten best gardens in the world.

Join Paul Mills, Curator of the Living Collections, for a virtual tour of Lotusland, who will discuss how to integrate plant collections into landscape designs, share stories of the rare species that reside in the garden, and give insights into what it takes to maintain the special collection of more than 3,000 plants.
