ornamental gardening
Famous for its gardens, the La Foce estate extends over the hills overlooking an enchanting valley in southern Tuscany called Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2004.
The harmony between buildings, garden, and nature makes La Foce a hallmark example of Tuscany's architectural and cultural evolution in the 20th century. Almost a century after Iris and Antonio Origo purchased the once desolate property, their children and grandchildren manage what the Origos turned into one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Join Katia Lysy, Iris Origo’s granddaughter, on a virtual visit to La Foce as she expands on the magic of La Foce's gardens, their multi-faceted history and contemporary strategies for managing this historic landscape.
