Kokodama, which translates into moss ball, is a centuries old Japanese form of bonsai where plants are grown in a ball of soil wrapped in moss. This is a great medium for plants that are small, hardy, and grow slowly. Since August is National Dog Month, we'll be creating fern kokodamas, which are safe for dogs (and cats!).
Ferns and all the materials needed to create this beautiful piece of living art will be provided.
Please note: this garden serves alcohol so a valid, physical state-issued ID is required to enter. Anyone under 21 is welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
