The art of American gardening has a rich, vast history with many pioneers to thank: immigrants from Africa, South America, China Europe, and the Caribbean are responsible for the origins of one of America's greatest pastimes.

Join celebrated landscape designer and winner of the 2021 Philadelphia Flower Show "Best in Show" Wambui Ippolito (exhibit pictured above) for an exploration of the history of American gardening through the lens of the immigrants who helped cultivate practices and plant life that are still used today — both around the nation and here in the Philadelphia region.
