UPDATE: This workshop has been rescheduled. It will now take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. If you have registered, you should receive an email about updating your registration.

This hands-on workshop will teach you the benefits of, and start-to-finish process for, creating your own cache of vermicompost; as well as demonstrate how to build a worm bin from two designs currently used by the presenter in her own Philly rowhome. One design is intended for indoor use, using affordable materials found in most discount big-box stores. The second design is an outdoor bin that has proven to sustain a healthy worm population year-round in the City’s climate. Following a discussion containing samples of all things vermicomposting, participants will be shown designs for the outdoor bin, and assist the presenter in constructing a model of the indoor bin design during the workshop.
