Growing Organics: Basics to Backyard Chickens

Learn the basics of keeping backyard chickens. This class will cover raising chickens, coops, and care for beginners. After the class, you will have the knowledge to decide whether backyard chickens are right for you and the confidence to start your flock.

Maureen Breen is a veteran chicken-keeper and the president of Philadelphia Backyard Chickens. She also conducts research on the role of backyard chickens in reducing food waste.
