Learn about gardening, greening and the environment, and how to incorporate them into classroom or after-school activities.

Green City Teachers is a 5-session virtual course (via Zoom) that uses experiential learning to give teachers, educators, parents, and mentors the needed background knowledge to pass gardening along to the next generation. Topics include basic horticulture, growing in window boxes, food gardening, light gardening, and habitat gardens. Open to anyone working with kids. You do not need to be a teacher, and you do not need to work in Philadelphia to participate.

The GCT KIT contains all the materials needed to follow along with the hands-on activities each week.
