This event is free and will be held as a webinar via Zoom.

What is Earth Day? How and when did it start? Why is it as important today as it was in 1970? From rumblings among scientists and beatniks, to ground-breaking legislation, trace the history of Earth Day with Michael LoFurno, of Temple University.​ PHS is pleased to offer this lecture in partnership with the Philadelphia Free Library.
