The PHS McLean Library

McLean Library Temporary Closure April - August

The McLean Library of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is closed for renovations beginning April 1 and will reopen September 2, 2014.

All library material is in remote storage and not available until reopening.

Have a gardening question? Submit your question to our  AskPHS service.

These questions will be answered by our gardening volunteers.

We offer virtual reference services through the renovation. Submit your question to our AskPHS Service or via email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or by calling 215-988-8782.

PHS members may request books to be borrowed from other libraries via Interlibrary Loan. Email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 215-988-8782 to request this service.

The PHS McLean Library has a circulating collection of 10,000 books and DVDs on gardening and plant care, urban greening, and more, as well as research collections consisting of rare gardening books, seed and nursery catalogs, and the archives of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Visit the library in person Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. PHS members are invited to take advantage of borrowing privileges.
