McLean Library Temporary Closure April - August

The McLean Library of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is closed to the general public for renovations beginning April 1 and will reopen September 2, 2014.

Limited access to the library will be available until April 10 for staff and members. After this time, all library material will be in remote storage and not available until reopening.

People with gardening questions can continue to email questions via our AskPHS service or email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

These questions will be answered by our gardening volunteers.

We will offer virtual reference services beginning May 5 through the renovation. These questions can be submitted to our AskPHS Service or via email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

The PHS McLean Library has a circulating collection of 10,000 books and DVDs on gardening and plant care, urban greening, and more, as well as research collections consisting of rare gardening books, seed and nursery catalogs, and the archives of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Visit the library in person Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. PHS members are invited to take advantage of borrowing privileges.
