High on the list of PHS traditions for thousands in the region is volunteerism. If there is any single concept that gets to the core of PHS's mission, it is the act of getting together with others of all backgrounds and "working the soil."
Whether it's joining in work days or planting bulbs in a Philadelphia neighborhood; touring enthusiasts through the grounds of PHS Meadowbrook Farm or guiding guests at the magnificent Philadelphia Flower Show, PHS fosters a passion for sowing and growing together that also serves as its hallmark.
Volunteer with PHS
The Flower Show, Meadowbrook Farm and PHS
The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, Meadowbrook Farm, and PHS gardening and greening activities offer volunteers ideas and experiences that are both enjoyable and inspirational. Volunteers working together with PHS Staff connect people to horticulture and create beautiful, healthy, and sustainable communities which enrich all of our lives. PHS volunteers make great things happen!
To make it easier than ever to become a part of PHS as a volunteer, we are introducing a new volunteer scheduling website: phs.volunteerhub.com. This new website is friendly for a smartphone, tablet, or computer. It presents a quick and easy way to select a number of volunteer opportunities and sign up for shifts for the Flower Show, Meadowbrook Farm, or other PHS volunteer events.
To sign up now, click here to create an account. (Creating an account is a one-time requirement. You won’t have to do it next year.) After you do so, you will be able to sign up for your shift(s). You will receive a confirming email for each shift. You can only sign up for one shift at a time. Also, you will be able to go into your account at any time to see your schedule. If you want to sign up for another volunteer opportunity at the Flower Show, click here.
If you have any questions or concerns about using the online system, please don’t hesitate to email email@example.com or call 215-988-8826. We will reply promptly. Thank you.
